Have you wondered what are the  white spots on your teeth and  what you can do about them?

What Causes White Spots On Teeth?

White spots on teeth are usually  indication of the demineralization of tor surface of the tooth (enamel). White spots on teeth are most common on patients after wearing braces. During orthodontic treatment, food particles  become trapped against the teeth and can cause the tooth surface to erode, leaving white stains on teeth.

Other potential causes for white stains on teeth are fluorosis, tetracycline staining, hypoplasia, hypocalcification , xerostoma, and trauma. Heavy plaque accumulation, poor oral hygiene, diets rich with sugar or acid may be another cause for white spots on teeth.
